Senior year at CA, one morning I left my headlights on and came back to my car that afternoon to find it completely dead. Three people had declined to help me, when I saw Frank and asked him for a jump. He gave me one of his signature grins and replied “of course.” Without thinking twice, he spent nearly an hour that Friday afternoon, when everyone was desperate to get home after a long week, revving the nuts off his Subaru to help me get my car started. This was certainly no isolated incident. Frank going out of his way to help someone, be it a close friend or complete stranger, was a daily occurrence. I simply cannot think of anyone who better personified the traits of compassion, empathy, and kindness. Traylor family, I am so sorry for your loss.
